Why have a rename and delete button?

There is a delete button to avoid having to manually delete text animations and their expressions (which will cause errors). The rename button is present to prevent breaking expression links.

Why is the "Based On" function not included in the effect ?

This option can't be controlled by expressions, that's why the option is on the script panel .

Why is the color fill option not available in the effect ?

If this parameter was included it would override the text color without being disabled. But you can still add it manually and it will work with textevo if you add it in the right animation group.

How do I add effects or properties such as shadows, controls, noise etc. to my presets?

Unfortunately you cannot use the textevo preset panel. You have to select the content of your textevo animations, effects and properties and then save your animations with the after effects preset tool.
